I Know Dental Practices—Because I’ve Lived It.

From the front desk to the operatory to practice leadership, I understand what it takes to make a dental practice work.

Hi, I’m Beth Baker, RDH, BSDH, founder of Bakmann Practice Solutions.

Throughout my career in dentistry, I’ve had the opportunity to experience a dental practice from nearly every seat in the office. I’ve worked the front desk, scheduled patients, handled insurance and payments, assisted chairside, cared for patients as a registered dental hygienist, and ultimately moved into practice administration and leadership.

With the exception of being the dentist, I’ve done the work.

That experience gives me a perspective that goes beyond reports and numbers. I understand how each area of a practice affects the others—and how the right systems can help the entire practice work better together.

I Understand the Practice From the Inside Out

A dental practice is interconnected. When one area isn’t working well, the effects are often felt throughout the practice.

An inefficient schedule affects the clinical team. Inconsistent insurance processes affect cash flow. Unclear expectations affect team performance. And when systems are missing or inconsistent, both the doctor and the patient eventually feel it.

I’ve experienced those connections firsthand.

As a practice administrator, I brought those perspectives together by developing SOPs, establishing and tracking KPIs, training teams, improving workflows, monitoring financial performance, and creating systems to help the practice operate more efficiently and profitably.

I don’t look at one department in isolation. I look at how the entire practice works together.

Where Clinical Experience Meets Business Strategy

My background in dental hygiene taught me the importance of patient relationships, clinical excellence, education, trust, and the experience patients have in the chair.

Practice leadership taught me something equally important: exceptional dentistry needs strong systems behind it.

Even a talented doctor and great team can struggle when scheduling is inefficient, expectations are unclear, processes vary from person to person, or the practice isn’t measuring what matters.

My experience allows me to understand the realities of the clinical team while also looking at the practice through the lens of production, collections, profitability, efficiency, accountability, and sustainable growth.

Why I Started Bakmann Practice Solutions

Over the years, I’ve seen incredible potential inside dental practices. I’ve also seen how easily that potential can become buried beneath inefficient processes, unclear expectations, inconsistent systems, and the demands of simply getting through another busy day.

I learned that most practices don’t need another binder full of recommendations. They need practical solutions that work in the real world.

That’s why I created Bakmann Practice Solutions.

My goal is to help dental practices identify what’s getting in the way, determine where change will make the greatest impact, and turn those opportunities into practical systems their teams can actually use.

My mission is simple: to help dental practices improve profitability, efficiency, and team performance through proven systems and measurable results.

My Approach

I don’t believe in walking into a practice with a predetermined, one-size-fits-all solution.

I start by listening and understanding your goals, your team, your numbers, your challenges, and what’s already working well. From there, we identify the areas with the greatest opportunity and create a practical plan for moving forward.

Discover → Assess → Prioritize → Implement → Train → Measure → Refine

Because identifying a problem is only the beginning. Meaningful change happens when the right solution is implemented, embraced by the team, measured, and refined until it becomes part of how the practice operates.

People Are Behind the Numbers

A successful practice isn’t built on numbers alone. It’s built on people, processes, communication, accountability, and a shared vision.

Doctors should be able to lead without feeling like everything rests on their shoulders. Team members should understand what’s expected of them and have the tools and training to succeed. Patients should experience a practice that feels organized, consistent, confident, and caring.

And the practice should be profitable enough to continue investing in its team, patients, technology, and future.

When I look at a KPI, schedule, or financial report, I never forget that every number represents a process—and behind every process is a person.

More Than Advice. A Partner in Your Practice.

When you invite me into your practice, you’re trusting me with something you’ve worked incredibly hard to build. I don’t take that lightly.

My role is to listen, ask questions, understand your team, dig into the numbers, recognize what’s already working, and help improve what isn’t.

I’m not interested in creating a practice that simply looks better on paper. I want to help you build one that works better in real life.

Let’s Build a Stronger Practice Together.

You don’t have to know exactly what’s wrong or which consulting service you need.

Sometimes you simply know something could be better.

That’s enough to start the conversation.
